North Korea: Should they stop receiving aid?
25th Sept 2005

Posted on 09/25/2005 10:08:50 AM PDT by Petey139

One must wonder? For a country that has depended for over decade on relief organizations to feed it's people after it's farming system collapsed years ago, All of a sudden to want to stop receiving aid for infrastructures, Must seem strange.

Who really benefits from the infrastructures? It is already believed that the food aid doesn't even benefit the poor. As we can see, alot of Koreans are selling their food aid at markets, Alot of the food is being diverted to the soldiers and food rations have been cut many times since it's mostly the North Korean government who distribes the aid. So who really benefits from it? The poor I don't think so. The rich of course. If anyone is lucky enought to even get inside North Korea, You will see that the so called leader is selling drugs, counterfeit money also known as super dollars and all sort of other stuff, While generating billions, All of that money is diverted in the Leaders massive collection of exotic cars, His troupe of strippers/prostitutes also known as the Plessure Team, His massive wine cellar of 10,000 bottle, thousands of movies and if that isn't enought it is also said that he expects each grain of rice to be equal, He won't even eat anything that doesn't look or smell good. Is that really it? Well it is also said by his chef who defected that he always buys in large quantity of lavish food, Once it was said that he bought cigars, one of each brand and in a certain quantity, When the cigars where bought and delivered he only smoked one and discarded the rest. While his people starve, He spends millions each year pampering himself, he wifes (apparently he is a polygamist) and his elites, Spending over 25% of the GPD on the over 1 million man army.

If the man won't even make personnal sacrifices for his people, What makes him think infrastructures will even benefit everyone. What it is believed is that those infrastructures will benefit the rich instead of the poor. Kim Jong-Il can't even create a future for it's people. Even the poor themselves do a better job by going to China and getting what they need and coming back (Which is quite stupid for one) But it's not as worse as being sending back and tortured to death.

They never should have received any kind of aid from us in the first place. They are our avowed enemies; why are we supporting them?

Uh. No.

North Korea will come to its inevitable conclusion if we don't prop up its failing dictatorship. Like supporting the USSR in the 80s with billions in aid right before its downfall. That would have been stupid. This is stupid, too.

Besides, do they appreciate it? No!

That regime needs to be put out of its miseries. Having the power to do so and not doing it is evil.

One thing worth remembering here is that the "poor" are those who are not useful to the state or those who might conceivably oppose the state. That said, their is no chance that the food aid will get to these people in sufficient quantities to benefit them greatly.

I don't pretend to know what the best thing to do here is beyond containing the evil lunatics who run the place and their Chinese allies.

The U.S. shouldn't give any foreign aid. It goes to corrupt politicians not the intended poor.
Besides, what about the poor here?

Turner is little more then a spoiled little rich boy.
Clueless.
Love to pour a quart of used motor oil over his obnoxious little brain.
