What's hilarious is listening to the media constantly repeat the slogan that "Texas and FEMA learned their lessons from the failures in Katrina." I laughed when they said this (in the form of a question) to one of the mayors, who responded by saying, "we just simply followed our original plans." In fact, even one of the SW Louisiana Police Chiefs pointed out how his town was more prepared than New Orleans.

" even one of the SW Louisiana Police Chiefs pointed out how his town was more prepared than New Orleans." He was probably too kind to also point out that his police officers didn't quit or join the looters.

The media is so focused on covering up the incompetent democrat government in NOLA, and trying to create rasism, the haven't even bothered to look at places which were hardest hit, like Waveland Miss, where the entire comunity was destroyed. But that was mostly working class whites, so that doesn't matter. They got both the wind and the rain, Plus a 30 ft storm surge which pretty much wiped it off the map.
I'm so sick of hearing about a bunch "poor" looters and gang bangers in NO, and the media spin trying to blame Bush for everything.
I noticed that spin as well, trying to say Texas "learned" from Katrina. NO they just followed their disaster plan, unlike NOLA. They had better people in government who could act under preasure.
The media even tried to blame that bus that burned on Bush, saying that he contracted a bus company with a shoddy safety record. What utter B.S. We need an inquiry into the actions of media over the last 4 years, their bias, and utter contempt for the nation.
