... the incessant whining of Geraldo and Shepard Smith tossed in for flavor.

Topic: FoxNews

Shep sounds like those professional mourners used in the Middle East. "We're doomed. No one loves us here (off camera:where's our remote?). We're done for here in Fort Arthur...Port Arthur...hand me another *&^* hat!"

Geraldo in body waders looking for spot work as the Gorton's Fisherman or an extra at the next Decadance Parade.

And surprisingly, Neil Cavuto pushing his guests (esp. his retired buddy from GE) with hysteria over oil refinery destruction. Damn Neil, it's not like you have money invested in oil futures while you report this...hmmmmm??? Quit causing a illusionary panic.

I've actually stopped watching Fox because of Katrina and Rita. It's FReeping and the Weather Channel for me.

Re: " Shep sounds like those professional ..."

Thanks for that. My take exactly!

Like you, (and probably thousands of others) I refuse to watch Fox, or any of those other MSM, Rita Cosby wanna be's. The weather channel is about all I can bear.

At last, my pacifier is in the garbage and I'm not even sucking my thumb! ;)

Shepard Smith must be the only reporter I know who has a "hat boy." When I saw his hat fly away the first time, I thought, oh, well that ones gone. Then, he showed up with another one on minutes later. As he fussed with his hat for another several minutes, that one flew away. But this time as he panned the camera to one side, I noticed the poor Hat-Boy off in the distance chasing down Sheps hat...obviously, again.

Between his slip & fall...and the interview in the middle of the street with blowing winds (which could've been done next to the building without the wind and rain), the theatrics from Shep (and Geraldo) get a little tiring. I've also stopped watching Fox because of these egotistical reporters.
