Idf dropping "Flyers in Arabic" In GAZA !
jpost ^ | 09/24/05 | jpost

In addition the IAF dropped flyers in Arabic from the air to Palestinian residents in Gaza warning them that Israel's response to the ongoing attacks will be harsh.

The flyer read: "Hamas fires Kassam rockets at Israeli citizens in order to cover up their responsibility for the killing of Palestinians in the parade in Jabaliya. Hamas, serving its own interests, has resorted to systematic lies that will harm you and drag you once again into despair and destruction, and has resulted in a closure on the Gaza Strip. The Palestinian Authority is responsible and must act immediately to stop the Kassam rocket attacks emanating from areas under its control and dismantle the infrastructure. The Israel Defense Forces will act harshly against anyone who threatens the security of its citizens."

Nice move by Israel. But what will the thugs use as shields should the women and children leave Gaza?

I'm starting to think that forcing the settlers from their Gaza homes may have opened the door for the Israelis to take some definitive action.

Every Hamas rocket should be answered by an overwhelming response. That will soon have the rag heads thinking twice, or else they'll all be chasing virgins if there are any left for them.

I like it!

For every rocket fired by the pali heathens, Israel should send back ten times the amount, or twenty, whatever. Let 'em fall on the Gaza populace like they do in Israel. Maybe then the pali's will get the message.

Now you're getting it. Israel and the US knew what would happen...it's so predictable. I just wonder if they thought it would happen so soon!

There were actually quite a few of us here that reasoned that back when it was announced, and I'm sure some had that opinion before even then.

Isreal is now free to use force without having to worry about hitting friendlies. The palies in Gaza have their backs to the sea and are basically surrounded by the IDF (including sea side).

The visual of "shooting fish in a barrel" comes to mind.

With all the Rumors of Al Qaeda in the Gaza strip now, I suspect that we may see a bit of involvement of America behind the scenes.

I would be surprised if they didn't know, and even if they didn't *know*; I'm sure they suspected.

You don't hand the keys to the car, a loaded weapon, and a bottle of whiskey to a teenager (Hamas), and not expect them to get into trouble.

No doubt, although I think we've probably had a more active presence behind the scenes in Israel since 9-11. To think that PLA/Hamas didn't have ties with Al Qaeda, would be stupid on our part.

I'm not one of those people who concentrates on who does or doesn't have ties to Al Qeada. In my eyes a terrorist is a terrorist period.

well "on our part" meant USGov. But I'm sure they're not concerned so much over factions as they are terrorists over all. Hence the WOT.

We dare you to fire at Israel again or you will really get us angry and we will retaliate with even more flyers. You'll get so many paper cuts you'll stop laughing.

Then we'll withdraw some more.

Can the Government of Israel become more pathetic?

"In the Middle East, deterrence is a difficult thing to measure. The deterrence in the mind of one country which is extremely vulnerable to civilian casualties cannot be measured on the same level as a people who's leaders have a different regard for human life. A few terrorist punks can twist the country like soap on a string. To save lives, Israel must act with great ferocity.

Furthermore, more is at stake here than the deterrence vis- -vis the Palestinians. If the IDF does not deliver a firm message that the rules have changed, it could have grave ramifications with Hizbullah in the north and across the region." ~ Arieh O'Sullivan

Good luck mister Abbas

He doesn't need luck. He has the White House and State on his side.

Thanks for stating the obvious.

Unfortunately, the whining of the Israeli right wing and the feckless Israeli left have drowned out General Sharon's strategy. Make no mistake, Sharon's decisions are those of a general.....he penned Arafat in his prison until his death and he's caging the Pallies and Hamas into a Jurassic Park hell.

In time. In time.
