Fess up... y'all are off arguin' about Harriet aren't you... I wasted a couple days of my life on the Harriet threads. I finally threw in the towel and left them to their sniping.

I just figure if I'm too educated to be marriage material, then so be it. I'd rather be able to depend on myself. Maybe they think educated = high maintenance!

Maybe they think educated = high maintenance!More likely they're intimidated at the possibility that she'll be knocking down more money than they will. It's an ego thing, and some guys truly can't get over it.

Ya that's true, it's natural thing, like the man preferring women younger than them and so forth - but you have to draw the line somewhere!

Intimidated? Heck, I'd love to set my wife up as my own personal Sugar Momma.

"Poetry makes me stiff."
It used to be we'd go to Niagara,
For Honeymoons, romance and stuff,
Nobody has the time these days, but Viagra,
Makes sure the Honeymooners can still get enough,
Of whatever glue they need to bind them,
If it's uppers like above.
Still, I guess I'm just old-fashioned,
How I wish that it were love.

I'm not sure what I'll be making once I finally get a full-time job. But I wouldn't care if was the bread winner. (He still would have to work some though! ... If I ever get married.)

"He still would have to work some though!" Sorry, Tulip, count me out.
I'm developing an allergy to work.
