She's a beat-up hunk of metal, but her engine is sound and the tires are good, so I like it! I was not at all surprised at her performance on the trip. Flawless...

For an old broad, she's got a lot going for her! LOL!

(I have to get a steering wheel cover and seat covers for her...maybe she won't look QUITE so bad, then!)

I still have to find the little "handle" thingy that seats the spare tire under the bed, but I don't know what it's called, so I can't buy it...:o[

(The truck is my ugly duckling.)

I am dried blueberries and raspberries this year and I am going to dry cranberries as well.

You just can't buy them un-oiled and unsweetened.

The honeycrisps I am keeping for fresh eating. They will last about six months in storage.

I miss my dehydrator...one of these days, I'll get another one and have a lot of fun with food!

When I first started to dry things, most of it was trial and error. I did what my dad did...(I just remembered we had home-grown pinto beans!)

LOL!

I like one of the nooks in the back. You can climb up on the window seat and shut the drapes and no one knows you are there. A little book light and you are all set. A little reading, a little star gazing, a little napping.

"I still have to find the little "handle" thingy that seats the spare tire ..."

Is that for a cable connection, or a threaded rod? I had a similar problem.
And do you have the spare?

"... You can climb up on the window seat and shut the drapes and no one knows you are there."

From book three's description ...

" ... stood in the center of what would one day be a prestigious library. Great wooden bookcases would reach for the high, vaulted ceiling, whose skylights and chandeliers would flood the chamber with gentle, sparkling light. Rolling ladders in the Victorian style would give access to volumes on the upper shelves, and window seats, tables with sturdy chairs, and study carrels would provide a place for contemplative thought."

I don't know "cable connection" or "threaded rod"...I'll have to ask my son-in-law. Yes, I have the spare...at least, for now...

I guess I have old-fashioned ideas about what a library would be like.

By the way, the Media Center is in a separate (large) room. The copiers and printers are located there.

I looked meself for the maple leaf on the head of guinness - does not exist on Google!

BTW, the shamrock is only three leafed - in fact there is no such plant as a shamrock, it's all clover!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Any of several plants, such as a clover or wood sorrel, having compound leaves with three small leaflets, considered the national emblem of Ireland.
[Irish Gaelic seamróg, diminutive of seamar, clover, from Middle Irish semar.]

Hi, Irish!
I'm actually getting ready to go to bed. The trip took more out of me than I want to admit!

How are YOU?
