Since the storm - none.
Everyone who wanted to go left. Rita trashed empty buildings - the best kind in such an affair.
I have a feeling that Honore knows this...about Nagin, and is enjoying having him follow him around like a little puppy...
And trying to mimic him, also...LOL
Don't you just imagine that Honore is having to suppress laughter when Nagin tries to talk with authority? I mean the nitwit doesn't know anything...but, is supposed to be running a major city!!
No dummy. Flatware is when you iron your underwear. Jeeez. There's just no civilization out there.
ROFL. There you go again.
jeez, judging from the weather map that Howlin posted a while ago...it looks like you would be better off getting back to LaPorte instead of staying in Miss.
I wish I could remember the number that I used to call when I commuted to Houston...when I wanted to check road conditions...but, my neurons aren't firing tonight...
Does anyone on this thread know what I am talking about..who you call for road conditions???
CLUELESS IN NEW ORLEANS....It'd make a great title for a movie, don't ya think!
Do you want to get on the "flatware ping list"? LOL
To the Left, FEMA is a proxy for nanny government gone bad (= bad Bush, bad Republicans) -- Pablum for the underachievers (= the Democrat constituency).
I continue to hear more and more stories of people liking the places to which they have been relocated since leaving N.O. and are seeking permanent residency.
I agree that Nagin seems to be quite incompetent. Maybe in the next election cycle those who first elected him but have now relocated will not make a difference in the vote, and he will be ousted.
Wranglers guide a herd of stranded cows to higher ground as flood waters rise, due to a levy break today in Chauvin, Louisiana. Rita caused massive damage as it moved across western Louisiana.
Now I'm just going to go over and get on buickmackane's double-entendre ping list instead.
And don't to dare ping me for flateware or I'll tell Howlin!
That looks bad for the folks in NO area.
I read the Princess Marg one and laughed the whole time.
I thought dishwashers were MADE in China.
So Doug, I know you aren't that kind of person.
But confess, did you like her bridesmaids dresses? And her china, what did you think? and was her dress just a bit overdone?
I do not know how updated they will be given the circumstances.
Oh, that is the saddest picture!
what road are you looking for?

Lots of Southern tradition talk, you would love it (and you do sound/write like she does....)
