Israel - Army deploys artillery along Gaza border

The Israeli army deployed an artillery unit along the northern Gaza border on Saturday after a barrage of Palestinian rockets were fired into Israel, a spokeswoman told AFP. "As a result of the Qassam rocket fire towards Israeli targets, the IDF (army) has deployed an artillery unit east of the northern Gaza Strip," she said shortly after troops pounded the Gaza Strip with air strikes, the first such raids since Israel's withdrawal from the territory last week.

Perhaps it was Israel's plan all along. Go through the pain of evacuating Gaza just to get all (most of) the rabid Islamo-facist PA hordes in one managable location, then eliminate them once and for all once they show their true colors.
That wouldn't suprise me.

If true, this would be a stroke of tactical brilliance. But there still would be the West Bank and Jerusalem to deal with. These people (the Palis) are like bad pennies, and they're all ovre the place.

The Israelis are also probably preparing to seal off any escape back into Egypt. Once the assault begins every living creature should be eliminated in true Old Testament fashion: absolutely no media, or they share the Islamo-facists' fate.

How do you say "Fire Mission", "Out" and "Splash" in Hebrew?
This is really good news. Artillery can put steel on target much faster than fixed or rotary wing aircraft, even if the crews aren't standing by the guns 24/7, as long as they are nearby.
