There are going to be 140,000 REAL Americans at the Monster Mile in Dover this weekend. THAT'S where CSPAN and the "media" morons need to be. 140,000 NASCAR fan screaming their support for our troops. The "media" really has it's priorities screwed up. Of course, most of those "media" boneheads will be standing around in the rain like a bunch of morons telling us what the wind sounds like and showing video clips of rain and palm trees. Those people aren't very bright. Too stupid to come in out of the rain.

I recently had a friendship rekindled that had been spiked years ago, and he's coming to L.A. this weekend to participate in the local version of this protest. We're having an e-mail debate about the war, and the most substantive thing he's offered to support his views is a Vanity Fair article from May of 2004 called "The Path to War," which he claims destroys the claim that there was any connection between Al Qaeda and Saddam's Iraq.
Has anyone read this article? I'd like to be able to reference any flaws or misinformation in it in the e-mail response I'm composing to send him. I found a good article by David Miniter at http://www.techcentralstation.com/092503F.html that details a number of contacts between the Saddam regime and Al Qaeda, but the article is from 2003, and I want to know if the Vanity Fair article shot down any of the points listed in Miniter's piece.
Any help would be appreciated.
