Blanco is giving a news conference. She said, "I've asked Rita"That's hilarious! Now, we know what the problems in LA were. She consulted the hurricane!

Nobody is watching her.
Anyway, most of those people she's talking about have decided that Texas is their new home.

Once it leaves the water the thing will fall apart almost immediately as it's fuel source, the heat from the Gulf, is taken away. Uh, does a car going a hundred and thirty miles an hour suddenly stop if it runs out of gas? No Cat 3 storm falls apart immediately upon landfall. Heck, Katrina came ashore in Florida as a Cat 1, and she tracked all across Miami-Dade County from northeast to southwest without losing one single mph.

Is it just me, or does it seem that FNC is kinda floundering and falling apart this afternoon?
I've never seen so many missed cues, "dead air", or side/overtalk from the anchors.

Do some research on the Eaker family and then ask the Admins to delete your post.
We haven't been here just a few months.

its just part of the LA shakedown of the federal government. and I am sad to say, they will likely get everything they want.

Now she is consulting the hurricane! Would have been nice if she listened to Katrina and bugged out NO as they have the Texas coast.

Yes I read 'well-regulated' as meaning trained, equipped and ready. Slobs with no plan are not 'well-regulated'.

Come on and give the guy a break. His kids made it to be this age so they must not be stupid. These are the kind of people you are going to be thankful for someday when they save our butts.

Actually it means "guys that are well prepared and equipped". During the Revolutionary War and the times directly preceding it, sometimes people turned out for militia muster without all the equipment needed and sometimes without a musket or other similarly critical kit.
