Coming from the expert on devolving on FR, I take your comments with a grain of salt.
Also Laz, your schtick is getting old, very old(i.e puesdo-imtellectual, yet juvenile comments).
Are you calling the Gipper a tax hiker???
Well, I understand your frustration. I'm frustrated too. I want Bush to start governing like a conservative and reduce spending. He's got 3yrs-4mths to slow down his liberal spending habits. If Bush had cut spending like he cut taxes, conservatives wouldn't be all over him today. Fiscal irresponsibility isn't pretty coming from a Democrat and its downright ugly coming from a Republican.
Gotta run. The President will be in town tonight and tomorrow. I'm trying to get a pass into Peterson AFB. So I've got a lunch date with a major, that I'm already late for. I'll be back later.
Why are people convinced that taxes is the be all end all of conservatism, it does a great disservice to the name...
"Well, I understand your frustration. I'm frustrated too. I want Bush to start governing like a conservative and reduce spending."
I want Dana Rohrbacher to legislate like a conservative and reduce spending. I also want him to quit blaming Bush for his own damn problem.
"Fiscal irresponsibility isn't pretty coming from a Democrat and its downright ugly coming from a Republican."
But you're awfully f***ing quick to give Dana Rohrbacher a pass on HIS fiscal irresponsibility.
What happened? Did you discover that most Mexicans have a bigger package than you do? You seem obsessed with sex on a political forum. You are a Democrat, aren't you!
Please whisper in his ear, Democrats will not respect him, cooperate with him, or vote with him, no matter how many $$$ he spends to appease them.
Go ahead.
Hope he stays. It's like poking a rat with a stick. We can let it go or kill it when we get bored.
PING!
Rohrabacher is obviously awake.
"Rohrabacher is obviously awake."
So why did he vote for all that spending he's kvetching about now?
He obviously woke up recently. Perhaps when he saw some idle TV cameras? );-)

Most dangerous place to be is between a politician and a TV camera...
If being the biggest spender in US history on social and liberal programs (bigger than LBJ!) is a great conservative reform, I am going to exclude myself from the conservative camp.
The power, scope, size, and influence of the Imperial Federal Government is expanding at a runaway pace under Bush. A conservative he is not.

Drugs for geezers. Will cost TRILLIONS
No Child Left Behind (written by Ted Kennedy and costs hundreds of billions and gives more power to the feds on education matters)
Patriot Act
How about Non-defense, discretionary spending increasing at the fastest pace in the history of the US. Even surpassing LBJ's Great Society.
And I came up with those in 5 seconds.
If you think the size, power, scope, and influence of the IFG is not growing too fast you are either blind, ignorant, not paying attention, or so blinded by loyalty to Bush that no matter what he can do no wrong.
Yes, that's right. He IS no fiscal conservative. But perhaps the monies having to be spent down south will make him one. You can always dream. The pubbies are as bad as the dems these days when it comes to spending. I'm sure there's PLENTY of pork that could be pulled from that mess.
