Rafael Palmeiro told baseball's arbitration panel that a vitamin he received from Baltimore Orioles teammate Miguel Tejada might have caused his positive test for steroid use.
Palmeiro testified that he received B-12 from Tejada, a person familiar with the grievance hearing said Thursday on condition of anonymity because the proceedings were secret.
"Right now I'm in shock," Tejada, a former American League MVP, said after Baltimore lost to the Yankees on Thursday night. "I've never given anybody steroids before. I've been checked out three times already, and I'm clean. I've been clean all my life."
Palmeiro's lawyers, Mayer, Brown, Rowe and Maw LLP, issued a statement Thursday night saying they "are disturbed about the misleading reports being leaked by unnamed sources who claim knowledge of the investigation."

He is done. I predict he will retire at the end of the season. Have you seen him wear earplugs so he doesn't hear the boos. He has been awful since he was busted.

"Right now I'm in shock," Tejada, a former American League MVP...Either at Palmeiro ratting him out, OR because Palmeiro is so lame.

Palmeiro's a scumbag. He'll throw a teammate under the bus to save his own skin.

Get him out of baseball. Then time to go to San Francisco and have a little chat with Mr. B.

Is Rafael trying to say he got high on second-hand steroids? "I went to a baseball game and so many people were using steroids I got high just sitting next to them!"

Palmiero had better not come back in the Orioles clubhouse. Trying to blame a teammate for his own misbehavior is beneath contemptible.

BTW, there are other reports that Tejada and his vitamins were tested and are clean. Vitamin B12 is legal and would not cause a false positive on the steroid test.

Raffy got busted with Winstrol in his system. I think it's an injectable steroid. His story now is that he got the B-12 from Tejada. I guess B-12 can be injectable, but who would shoot something you got from a teammates locker into your rear?

By the way, Tejada has been on the first page of suspected steroid users for several years.

    One interesting fact about B-12.
If you take at least 500 mcg. of good quality Cyanocobalamin (B-12), before sleep, your dreams will be more intense & colorful.

Palmeiro got busted because of a steroid that is typically used by VETRINARIANS and is injected into race horses. One would have to assume that since the same substance has not been detected in Mr. Tejada's tests, that Palmeiro is full of...ahem...horsesh*t.
