So she has been going through ERC. I didn't think anything else could account for such weakening, considering the other conditions present. I guess we can expect her to ramp back up again, at least somewhat.

If the media hypes the weakening, though, some people who haven't evacuated yet may decide not to go, then find themselves with not enough time to do so should she go back to a 5.

This is pure speculation. But I think she goes back to a minimal 5 as the pressure definitely supports it. Depending on how fast she moves after the intensification she might hit at a high 4, if she slows down she will probably land at a low 4 or high 3.

She's sucking dry air into her. She'll continue to decrease before landfall. That's why the eye is so ragged. She'll most probably will not re-strengthen.
