Man, I haven't been to Galveston in a damn long time. One visit as kids in the 60s we stayed at the Jack Tar Motel. It had an awestom pool. Galveston also had some great seafood restaurants next to the seawall.

Let me just give an observation: for all the chaos, the evac from Harris Co/Galveston is far more organized. More folks taking this seriously. Props to all the good people of SE TX. Perry and GWB appear to be in close coordination. GWB coming down to Houston tomorrow.

I may have to come down from Iowa when this thing passes and help my Texas brethren. Hang in there people. All of us expatriate Texans are praying for y'all!

Joe Bastardi is saying it will come in between Galveston and High Island, between 3 am and 6am.

My husband's aunt's house is right behind the famous Giado's Seafood Restaurant on the seawall. Their food is excellent
