Is it still weakening? How can that be...looks better than it has all day! Rita is still has Concentric Eyewalls. Until she settles down to one eye again she will stay around where she is at now.
Notice some slight verbage changes in this advisory. Instead of saying some weakening is expected as they have been saying all day, NHC is now saying "some flucuations". That is because once the ERC is completed there is a possibility that Rita's winds may come back up to match her Central Pressure.

Is it still weakening? How can that be...looks better than it has all day! Finishing up the eyewall replacement cycle. 125 knots in the NE quad is the highest I've seen in hours.
