I witnessed a test case of oxygen depletion in a 8 X 14 room. The CO sensor did sound and occupants probably would have evacuated safely. The flame was still burning but changed color. Many people have died using an outdoor appliance (or even indoor appliance with oxygen depletion) in rooms such as bathrooms. This is why use of unvented heaters is prohibited in those rooms by universal building codes. You are making an irresponsible comment by implying oxygen depletion is not an issue. Maybe you live in an old, drafty house. Newer houses are much tighter.

The post I read said do not use propane inside. One can use propane inside. Millions of homes do. I would not melt roofing tar in my living room, but propane can safely be used inside.

You are being irresponsible if you post without understanding my posts.

Go re-read them.

I said safe application.

To you millions out there using propane keep using it. Nothing to see here.

Keep in mind that Eaker is talking about propane ranges that are designed for indoor use, and are correctly set up to provide plenty of air into the air/fuel mix to ensure complete combustion. This is not necessarily the case with outdoor-type grills, and is why you should not bring such into the house (plus the hand-tightened connector on the outdoor grill might be slowly leaking propane gas). See my post 2881
