My son is on I-10 just past the Parker Cypruss exit. Said he's gone about 100 yards in the last 30 minutes. Trying to get to San Antonio. Does anyone know any good back roads?

Tried to find Parker and I10 on Yahoo maps and failed. My suggestion to him would be get off the freeway and try to drive by Compass headings using what backroads lead the right? way. Good luck to him.

HIGHWAY 105 WEST NORTH FROM I-10...

Tell him to get off the freeway turn right go north to Hwy 105 turn left stay on that highway to Bellville...he'd then go back south to I-10...however, I-10 will probably still be too backed up. I'd find another back road taking him west...tell him to stop some place and buy a map...or ask folks in Bellville, they'll be glad to direct him from there.

Tell your son to exit I-10, stay on the feeder until he finds a road going north, and take back roads that go north and west. He fan orient himself by keeping the sun either to his right or behind him.

Plus, eventually he'll find a service station where he can buy a big road map and figure out a long route.

Back roads will take awhile, but they're better than stalling out on 10.
