I just wanted to point out that there's speculation that it was not as severe as previously believed when it hit LA

Anyone have an idea what will happen to this storm once it hits the Gulf Loop again? Will it intensify back up to a 5. Is that possible?

FYI -this satellite link updates every 7 minutes or so...just refresh every now and then.

Fair enough. The data support the conclusion that Katrina's storm surge in LA was not as large as earlier speculation.

Therefore, folks in the path of Rita should understand that unexpectedly severe results may occur.
