It kinda takes us out of the woods. We might catch some wind/rain but the dirty side of the storm will miss us if the storm goes where predicted.

The freeways are parking lots. Looks like we're stuck here now. People are calling in saying that they have been on the freeway for 14 hours and they are inching forward one car-length at a time. I'd rather be here than get stuck on the freeway. :-)
The only way we can't stay in touch is if we lose power. We have battery backups but they last only 20 minutes or so. If we lose telephone service then there will be no way to stay in touch. We don't have any carrier pigeons. LOL
