Do you know if this is the north or south landing runway -- assuming they won't use the takeoff runways since they are closer to the terminal buildings? The north landing runway has no buildings on the north side (while the south landing runway has buildings on the south side), but the south runway is longer and they may want the distance to allow the plane to coast on it's back wheels as long as possible.
They are landing at LAX - they named the runway on KFI but I don't remember what they said.
South runway complex. 25L is most southern runway running roughly E-w.
