City of Los Angeles responded more equipment to this plane than the entire State of Louisiana did for Katrina.

As an ex-pilot, I had practiced landings similar to that, many many times. Just keep the nose a little high and hold the main gear a couple inches off the runway. As the plane slows, you have to add a little power to keep the mains from touching down. You can make some smooth landings with a little practice. Of course this was done at an airfield with not much traffic.
