Sorry, I'm not really grumpy, I just don't like how some profess to know God saved this plane, when there's clearly many tragedies he does ~not~ prevent.
ruh, roh.
God is good. All the time.
Does any man know where the love of God goes
When the fear turns the minutes to hours?
And all that remain are the faces and the names,
And the wives and the sons and the daughters
-- Gordon Lightfoot, "Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald"
You have touched upon one of the great questions of the Ages. This is no place to delve into it so I'll just suggest that you take it up with Him, personally. It's the best I can tell ya. While you are right that there is no certainty that intervention of the Divine was required to effect the result we witnessed, still it is good and right to credit Him for things like the talent He gave to the pilot and crew who then put it to good use making a picture-perfect emergency landing, and it is not off-the-mark to express to Him our relief and thankfulness that the whole situation ended without death or injury.
