That storm was so very unusual. My spouse flew over the affected area 2 day later. He said there were steel I beams puncturing trees. As a mechanical contractor these items must have flown over 200 MPH for this to occur. Phenomenal!

Andrew was definitely a Cat 5. At the time they said Cat 4, but they changed it afterwards.

I lived near the Nat'l Hurricane Center, which is in Coral Gables, which was about 15 miles north of the eye wall and they recorded gusts up to 184.

The scene was surreal after he blew through.
