I don't know. My plans are up in the air because my Dad won't make up his mind until tomorrow and I don't want to leave without my parents. My mother has emphysema and is on OXYGEN!! He is the most stubborn human on the planet. I have already booked a room in Boerne for them to go to because he won't do anything until the last minute. I hope I can convince them to leave!
Hopefully we will be on the west side of the hurricane, which if you're going to be in one, that's the place to be. They rode out Carla in 1961 and lost electricity for a week or two with no major damage to their house. We'll see.
I wouldn't count on Victoria to be on the west side...it may very well be near the center - or even to the east of it.
Cantore mentioned last night that every 1/2 a degree movement of the eye is 30 , probably 45 miles or more now of coastline that comes into play one way or the other.
They are playing with fire trying to decide which side of the eye wall they are going to be on.
Show them a picture of a flattened house.
Then, after telling your Dad you're *only* doing it for your Mom, pack them up. The most you all will be out are the gas mileage, food, and hotel stay.
But, they are 45 year older now. Please be safe.
