As I recall, it's like the last two weekends in SEP and the first in OCT, no?

I lived in Augsburg which isn't too far north of Munich. Rode the train everyday to Oktoberfest. Cost: about 3 bucks. Too much of a good thing (gurgle).

Augsburg was also where I was introduced to door-to-door beer delivery.

Guy shows-up to my door unannounced and dressed in long, white doctor's coat. He also has a hand truck. I answer the door:

BeerGuy - Beer today sir?
Me - huh?
BeerGuy - Beer today sir? (hands me a menu)
Me - (I'm thinking this has to be a scam but just in case I'm pretty sure I can afford to get a case of beer and a case of Pepsi - so speaking slowly and in my best English) Sure, I'll take a case of Paulaner and a case of Pepsi
BeerGuy - Very good, sir.
((minutes later BeerGuy appears at my door with beverages))
BeerGuy - Can I put these away for you?
Me - sure, the closet is fine
BeerGuy (hands me a receipt) You pay this week or next week, sir?
Me - ((having just died and gone to heaven. Beer delivered door-to-door and ON CREDIT!!!))

This has nothing to do with the thread, but did you notice that the latest teacher caught with the boys is named Traci Tapp? I wonder if mom and dad foresaw her future?

Be sure to visit the virtual bartender. Try these words: cowboy, beer, fight, kiss, dance, air guitar. How many more can you find?

When I was stationed in Germany 30 years ago I thought it was funny how the Army always happened to schedule their gigantic annual 2-3 week long field maneuvers at the exact same time as Octoberfest. Sure, it was just a coincidence! Sure it was, thats the ticket!

P.S.: I rarely saw any german gals as nice looking as those in some of these pics.
