Thanks for the guidance.
How are your efforts going?
4 p.m. Home of Buddy and Annie Spell, Covington, La. Buddy Spell is a longtime Louisiana hellraiser, antiwar activist and defense lawyer. He was at Camp Casey in Crawford, Texas, until the hurricane hit his house in Covington, wrecked his car andmost alarminglyseparated him and his wife Annie from their 7-year-old for five harrowing days. Thankfully they are all reunitedand safe.Buddy is a member of the Louisiana Activist Network (LAN). LAN has organized a Peace Train to carry activists to Washington, D.C., for the September 24 national antiwar mobilization, but because no trains are getting into New Orleans, people will have to make their way to Meridian to board. We may have less people than we would have, but well be there, pledged Buddy.
For Annie Spell, attacks against her only inspire her further in her leadership with the NAACP. 'This collection of white separatists -- obviously they're ignorant people,' Spell says. 'They make me glad I'm president. This is what our organization has to fight.'
Thanks for the info re: Dylan Garcia.
The march of the takers.
Sounds like they might be practicing Air America's rules for accounting.
touch down
I don't know if that's sarcastic or not, but assuming it's not when I post things I occasionally remember that many people coming to a post are not experts and haven't been following along. Sometimes I assume that everyone knows who Gil Cedillo is, other times I provide an overview or a link to an overview.
A lot of people are coming to something through a search engine or technorati or similar, so don't expect everyone to know much beyond a general idea of who Cindy Sheehan is.
In this case the lawyers were in the same class of idiots as their clients. They were instrumental in helping Landriu get the New Orleans vote out.
Bozos - free money don't last long.
Don't most of the anti-war weenies go acoustic?
This looks like some sort of shell game where Sheehan's group found some fellow travelers in Louisiana who could play the victims, and provide cover for the soliciting of donations under hurricane relief. It appears the only people they are helping out, are themselves and those who believe in the cause.
There's a lot of conservative folks in that area of Louisiana that they mention in that article. I hope they give all the supplys to conservatives. hahaha
GACK---Did you just here Brian Wilson on Brit's show???
He was talking about the bi-partisan investigation into Katrina...and said that "Sen. Frist has given up on having a bi-partisan, bi-cameral investigatory hearing....so there will probably by separate hearings of each party in the different committees."
I sure do WISH that Brian had said that "Harry Reid, Pelosi and the democrats pitched a hissy-fit, which FORCED Sen. FRist to give up on the bi-partisan, bi-cameral hearings..."
THAT would be more truthful, and maybe Americans would be more aware of the childish games the dems are playing...instead of just Frist making a "choice"...argggghh
Let them
It will make the Dems looks petty and partisan
"Is Andy Stephenson really dead?"
That's what we've been told - there was a notice in the Seattle paper - it's probably true.
The scond post is gone from Pol S/b.
McCain is on Chrissy's show right now...
Chrissy asked him "what went wrong" re: Katrina.
He said "EVERYTHING"...and then said that the Bush adm. put TOO MUCH emphasis on TERRORIST'S ATTACKS...
and not enough on natural disasters!!!!
Then, Chrissy asked him if HE had been POTUS...would HE have named a man as head of FEMA who headed a horse stable..
McCain laughed, and said NO>..Didn't Brown pass the SENATE???? voice vote, I think??
Also, he says that Bush should have a czar...like Guiliani, Colin Powell, or Tommy Franks...
THEN, Chrissy said that well Brown got the job because of cronyism and that Brown was Allbaugh's roommate in college...which has been TOTALLY DISCOUNTED...
And McCain AGREED with him....
MCCAIN is spreading them worse tonight, than I have ever seen him....
He is still on if you dare!!!!
