A new website says it is using comedy as a political strategy to prepare Americans for their first female president - Democrat Hillary Rodham Clinton.
Launched by supporters of Sen. Hillary Clinton, the new BillForFirstLady.com website features "live-action comedy videos of a cross-dressing Bill Clinton wearing a pink skirt, matching high heels and a pink purse."
The website says its goal is to generate 1 million emails urging Sen. Clinton to run for president in 2008.
"Our campaign style is laugh-out-loud funny -- but Hillary is a serious candidate and this is a serious strategy," said Luke Montgomery, one of the Clinton supporters behind the Internet campaign.
"BillForFirstLady.com is here to beat Republicans to the punch -- and the punch line -- by making the inevitable 'Bill as first lady' jokes old before they can hurt during the election."
Montgomery said cross-dressing humor crosses party lines, "and we're here to tickle the red states pink."
He said it's best to joke about a man as 'first lady,' so voters will be used to the idea by 2008.
"The Republican ridicule machine is geared up to go after Bill -- we're disarming them and laughing with Bill, not at him," said Montgomery.
Montgomery, an animal "rights" activist who legally (and temporarily) changed his name to Luke Sissyfag years ago, made headlines in 1993 for heckling President Bill Clinton at Georgetown University, where Clinton was giving a speech to mark World AIDS Day. He wanted Clinton to commit more money to AIDS research.
But Montgomery's new website says a lot has changed since the early 1990's - and Montgomery, "once a clear critic of the Clintons...has grown-up and is now one of their biggest supporters."
If Hillary is president.....there will be nothing to joke about.
They must be reading Free Republic. Just yesterday I said I needed a pic of Hill in a superwoman getup. There's a pic of Hill in a superwoman getup.
After enduring the past umpteen years of Republican misrule, I'm ready for the idea of Hillary as President. The Republicans' idea of fun is war in Iraq, rising unemployment, phasing out the SS system, and skyrocketing federal budget deficits. I prefer the $1.15 per gallon average gasoline prices we enjoyed during the Clinton-Gore miracle years to the $44.80 shelled out earlier this morning.
By early 2008 many of the sheeple who voted for Bush-Cheney will be fed up with the Bush policies that have led to recession, war, and inadequate response to natural disaster. Bill as First Lady might seem weird at first, but not as weird as 4 more years of the misrule we've endured since 1/21/2001.
I saw a print adv. for the new TV show with the female President (Geena Davis). It was a cartoon sketch. The husband and wife (President) were sitting on a couch with framed photos of four women on the wall behind them. The caption read "Rod, you're going to make a wonderful first gentleman." Rod was shown on the couch with his hands between his legs looking emasculated. The vitriol of the left oozed through the adv. I saw a TV interview with Davis and she said Oprah Winfrey should be the next President because "she relates to people."
Hillary has hemmorhoids.
But think how many new IRS jobs there'll be.
No. Hillary IS a hemmorhoid.
"We're going to take things away from you on behalf of the common good."
Getting Hillary to run by emasculating her husband ... that's OK with me. Emasculate away. Hitlery will self-destruct and we'll be rid of both of 'em.
LOL!!!
Geez. I knew I could count on you! Funny, your Bill looks much better in drag, than the one they've got, and their Hill is much more flattering that yours!
There are a lot more jokes than "Bill as First Lady". But Bill will never be "First Lady" or "First Gentleman."
great photo but you should apologize to Dolly Parton
Wow. I didn't think anyone could hit so many BS points in one post! You must be trying really hard! Congrats, MurryMom!
ugggh....when I saw that pic, my voice cracked as I said aloud, "What the **** is that?"
I've been seeing billboards for the show lately too, and my first thought was hollywood is doing what it can to prime the country for a female pres.
How does a troll like you stick around so long. Your posting history is very telling.
