Why don't you buy a clue?

Check the Katrina threads, find me a buouy wind speed higher than reported on dopplar radar at the link above? You won't find one, you know why, because winds weren't higher.

Unless you subscribe to the theory that hurricane's intensify when they go inland. Believe what you want, I frankly don't care.

I was wondering how you were affected. I've been busy and haven't been Freeping lately. No power for 5 days in heat and humidity is the pits.

I would prefer to leave but Mr. Hobson wants to stay put so I guess the cockers and I will stay too. I went through Alicia in Clear Lake and I swore I would never do that again. Oh, well.

Robt volunteers to unhook the first few: as long as they are only the odd springs. Even he won't touch the rest of the springs. Will leave the last four springs for GOP_Kong_Mom's hubby (or other foolish beast) to unhook.

lol! I see you know all about trampolines. bring a foolish beast when you come, please.

ME, too...I live down the street from Dog Gone.

I am so sorry to hear that. If this storm gets me, I leave you the several thousand beers he owes me, if you can collect. I always thought it was about three beers but Flyer swears it's up to 5-6 thousand.

Small world! Where do you reside?

Vicksburg, being historic, has old buildings and huge, old trees. It was the fallen trees that knocked out electrical and telephone lines. No A/C in the heat of summer... yuck. Miserable, and we only got 4 inches of rain.

I think it is a GREAT idea :)

I've got nearly 2 bushels of apples to cook and discovered the new stock pot I bought can't be used on glass cooktops - guess what I have?

OK - TMI - I know - I'll stop.

That's neat. Our son's birthmother was teaching the Confirmation classes there(or at least co-teaching them). I know she had to quit for a while, but I believe she told me she was involved again. Maybe you know her? She's a pretty blonde named Sheila. :^)
