Here is the only communications tool that will work. I bought one and am getting licensed.

# 900 Memories
# AM/FM BCB
# AM band and full SW to 30 MHz
# CTCSS/DCS
# European Tone Burst
# Wideband Receive
# True Dual Receive
# ARTS-Automatic In-Range Transponder

It is also fully submersible.

Hi Hobson,
I live in the Heights, inside loop 610. I'm listening to Frank Billingsley on KPRC 12- he's taking questions about evac. Some dude there from Harris County Flood Control saying folks in town should not leave-stay put! That's what I'm going to do, ride it out.

YES! I got a charger that plugs into the cell phone and the other end plugs into the cig lighter. Works great!

Thanks again for that Black&Decker info -- I have bookmarked the site and will place a back order in the morning.

Jim on again. Mentions Houston has a vulnerable city and says he expects Houston to be evacuated. He also has a different take on the track. Thinks it will go more west and then veer to the north.

There are new chargers at Radio Shack now. They cost about $7 and can charge your cell phone while on the run. It is a stick like product that you stick in the plug-in on your cell phone. Comes in REAL handy! It requires no batteries or electricity! I use them all the time.
