Wow. Me, too, but I ran away to the hill country here when I was 15 in my red '66 Mustang.

Haven't been back even once.

I wasn't here at that time. I've only been here for three years and have never gone through any kind of major storm other than a violent Midwest thunderstorm -- and those aren't much fun either.

FYI
From another list I read:

Subject: Special TRE Equipment move Fort Worth to Galveston right now!

I just heard from sources that two TRE F59's and six cars have been assembled at the Fort Worth passenger station to be taken by BNSF to Galveston this afternoon to assist in hurricane evacuations down there. The crew was called at Gainesville at 12:40pm, and is in the van headed for Fort Worth now. Estimated time of departure from Fort Worth ITC around 2:0pm today. Hopefully someone can get out and record it for the rest of us!

Hey Nagin and Blanko
Watch how the big boys handle it.

A little FYI. The Super WalMart in Katy has already been picked clean of batteries, cook stoves, lanterns and drinking water. Many of the canned goods as well.

Ditto the Super Walmart in ClearLake.

Home Depot in Pearland reports the same.

Poor Jim Cantore; he's like a blind dog in a meathouse with all of the hurricanes in the Pacific and the Atlantic/Gulf. He's got so many choices.

Reminds me of some friends who own border collies. One is the definite alpha dog, but he turns into a chicken if there is even a loud noise outside.

My ex wife lives in Richmond. I don't like to wish bad things but.......can a tropical storm spin off one tornado to hit just one house?

Hi Easty!!

Gives Mrs. Easty my best.

The neighborhood got water during allison, but I didn't flood. An I think that's because it sat on us for days.

I am really planning on staying, it will be keeping the psycho dog out of the storm that will be hard!

My poor Golden is soooooo petrified of thunderstorms. We're right outside of Dallas and he can hear thunder from Okla! He takes tranquilizers to help him cope. Our previous Golden was the same way.
