NORFOLK Cindy Sheehan, the anti-war activist who made headlines by demanding to meet with President George W. Bush and setting up camp outside his Texas ranch this summer, is coming to Norfolk.
Sheehan became an outspoken opponent of the war in Iraq after her son died there. She is scheduled to hold a press conference at 5 p.m. Tuesday at the corner of St. Pauls Boulevard and City Hall Avenue downtown. Her Bring Them Home Now tour will present speakers at the veterans memorial in Town Point Park at 7 p.m., according to a press release.

Man, that's going to have to be a tight shot for the network camera crews! Gotta give the impression of a large group, don-cha know...Oh, no! If they do a tight shot, that means they'll have to have closeups of Cindy! Vaseline! Gotta find vaseline!
Please go. I'm in NYC and if I could I'd go.
Since the MSM is ignoring her, it is hard choice to even give her any attention. It would be very hard not to counter protest since a lot of former supporters of hers are embarrassed to have been involved. Keeping her in the news could be good.

That is my question too ... who is funding this trek? Someone is paying for food, travel, lodging, (wages?) and misc expenses. Anyone know who it is?
Doesn't she have a job?
Are news networks still showing up? I haven't seen her on the news in weeks.
I personally think she is being funded thru some source and these "donations" are a front. Would be interesting to see where the charity is originating from.
is that they have the backdrop of the USS Wisconsin with is berthed there as a museum.
Yes, your'e right. It will be interesting to see if they get the USS Wisconsin in their camera shot. Also, even though Norfolk is home to the largest Naval base in the world it is also the headquarters of PETA and home to the Ghent area which IMO has the largest concentration of liberals and homosexuals in the Hampton Roads area.
I made a "STFU" graphic for Cindy but after considering it, I'd honestly rather have her out there running her mouth all over the country.
I do find it hard to believe that she is taking in excess of $100,000 a day from multiple websites with just voluntary donations from just plain people.
There, fixed it.
I wondered why she was going to be downtown instead of near gate 3 or over by gate 4, somewhere near the base. The whole downtown waterfront thing wasn't developed before I left and I didn't know the Wisconsin was berthed there. Thanks for clearing that up.
Depends on whether Hillary wants her to have any more face time. Considering Cindy's dissing of the junior Senator the other day (not to mention the fact that Cindy's contribution to the Democrat's cause has not aged well), Hillary may very well have decided it's time for the MSM to shun the nutjob.
Dissing the Clinton Gang is not a good idea. If Cindy keeps up the threats or attempts to stand in Hildy's way, we'll find her body in a trunk one day.
As if she thought the war was okee-dokee before that.
At least this article didn't repeat that ridiculous assertion that Sheehan is grieving.
"Cindy Sheehan and dogs: keep off the grass"
she's not real bright.....this will go over like a turd in the punch bowl at Buckingham palace...
"Cindy Sheehan and dogs: keep off the grass"
Both are spewing methane.
