Cindy Sheehan may be the Rosa Parks of the anti-war movement. But that didn't stop members of the New York Police Department from marching into the crowd of about 150 people gathered in Union Square Monday to hear her speak and yanking away the microphone. The NYPD pulled the plug just as Sheehan was calling on the audience

Too bad they didn't pepper spray O'Cindy bin-Sheehan
That's possibly the most offensive thing written in FAVOR of this creature than anything else I've read.
Sure now I find the previous post. Please remove
Couldn't happen to a nicer DINGBAT...er Witch with a B.
The reason these peaceniks always have their permits revoked or not issued is that they expect the local governments to bend over backwards for them, yet when they fail to submit the proper applications on time, they bitch and moan and cry persecution because they have poor organizational skills.
It's more proof that they don't believe in personal responsibility even though they demand government to be infallible. the nerve of these people.
I tell ya , my dog is a heck of alot better looking than this woman....
let's hear it for the NYPD !!!
Go NYPD! Now can they go after the Rachel Corrie dingbat supporters in the park?
Oh, I don't know. I think the most offensive thing I've read was some DUmmie comparing her to Jesus.
The left always trivializes true heroes and victims. I read one DUmmie saying that he knew just "how the Jews felt in Germany".
Good for the NYPD. She was disturbing the peace, anyway.
Did I hear that the police removed her microphone and gave it a toss and said "fetch Cindy, fetch". But all she could do was woof.
Rosa Parks? Lord, what an insult! To Rosa, of course...
bttt
My lord, now I find myself on the wrong side of the fence twice in one night.
Earlier, I questioned what was going on with the British soldiers arrested in Iraq.
And now this. I hate Cindy Sheehan and all she stands for. She's a shame to her son and her country. But she has the right to speak, as we all do.
If some silly microphone ordinance was the reason for this, then I'm opposed to it. The first amendment doesn't specify volume. If she was in Union Square in Manhattan, she wasn't hurting anybody's ears, I suspect.
I don't like the idea of the police being used to shut people up.
Awfully quiet over there from the "Ross Perot! How dare you say, 'You people,'" outraged set.
Precisely, She could have berated Bloomberg or Pataki, etc. all she wanted to to and then paraded around NYC like she owned it. But throwing it in Hillary's face and then showing up was a BIG Mistake. You don't call out her highness in her KINGDOM and expect to live.
As a young white boy growing up in Atlanta and riding those busses I was as rednecked influenced as the rest but never agreed with the humiliation of forcing anyone to sit in a humiliating 'back of the buss' position. I gave my seat plenty of times to elderly and to women, black or white. To use Ms Parks named in the same sentence with Sheehan's is an insult to all that's rational and elevates Sheehan's name beyond the bog it belongs in. Rosie Parks would have supported our troops in conflict and she danged sure would have closed off the borders by now if she was in a political position to. Unlike some presodents that don't know what "faith without works" means.
