Handbook I smuggled out of an Islamic convention
UAC undercover ;) ^ | CAIR

Posted on 09/19/2005 4:39:11 PM PDT by JesseP

This past weekend I did some personal undercover work at a local CAIR (Council on American-Islamic Relations) fundraiser. I made off with a pocket handbook containing some deeply disturbing instructions to their members. I would like everyone to read it. It will only be available at this link until the end of the week so I suggest downloading it and distributing it to all who are concerned:

"Gee, it sounds just like the advice I give 2nd Amendment activists."

And it pretty much looks like advice I've seen given to pro-life protesters. I remember the same kinda things coming from my local Moral Majority chapter as well back in the 80's.

Well I happen to find "Put together a Ramadan or Hajj display at a local school or library." offensive, the ACLU would back that but not if a Christian tried something similar

Yeah, that goes for any American citizen of any religion, too.

Point # 1. Our goal is the unity of all Americans, against the threats of Islamic extremism which face our nation and a goal of ensuring a secure future of America. We will accomplish our goals set forth through the following actions: Educate our society on the natures of our enemies. Inform the American people on issues which must be resolved. Influence and encourage the actions of the President and Congress to accomplish our goals.

Point # 2. Our goal is that freedom for all religious faiths continues, insofar as they do not endanger the American people, or the existence of democracy.

Point # 6. Our nation's security shall come first and foremost. The United American Committee is dedicated to protecting the American people, and allowing them to live safe and comfortable lives, without the threats of Islamic extremism and terrorist activities. We feel a key to accomplishing this is by maintaining a secure border. Our goal is an increase in border security along both our northern and southern borders, as well as an increase in funding to Coast Guard and Immigration agencies so that they may work efficiently and that the American people may live in safety.

Point # 8. Our goal is for America to cease dependency on imported oil from countries tied to Islamic extremism..."

There's an excerpt from link #2, sounds ok to me.......

Okay, magnified and read.

Other than the fact that these folks will (Should) have problems with church and state issues trying to place their books and religious symbols in public schools, I am not seeing a problem here....what am I missing?

"Well I happen to find "Put together a Ramadan or Hajj display at a local school or library." offensive, the ACLU would back that but not if a Christian tried something similar"

Jeez...

Jesse's upset at a Ramadan display, because no Christian display is allowed.

And that's Jesse finds it "distrubing"???? No mention of suicide bombings, or calling for the establishment of an Islamic state, or anything like that?

Jesse, you gotta get out more!

It says things on the order of "You do not have to talk to the FBI. You have no obligation to talk to the FBI, even if you are not a citizen. Never meet with them or answer any questions"

and they would be correct ... like it or not, they are no more obligated to talk to the FBI without appropriate due process and legal protection than any other indnvidual or group in this country.

My favorite sections are of course techniques for disrupting air traffic security and sabotaging FBI investigations.

Okay, haven't read it all yet. But for those wondering what's so disturbing about it, I have found two things already that might disturb some folks: First, putting together a Hajj display for a school or library (what happened to separation of church and state). Second, writing letters to the editor under false pretenses; namely, pretending that you represent a large organization, when you do not. And that's just for starters. Haven't got to the throat slitting yet. :-)

I find far more disturbing than just that, it teaches them to never cooperate in efforts to root out terrorism, complete noncooperation with law enforcement

"I find far more disturbing than just that, it teaches them to never cooperate in efforts to root out terrorism, complete noncooperation with law enforcement"

So all those pinko commie sand flea arab muslims are just covering for the next "big one" when they invoke their 5th Amendment rights?

I mean, you have nothing to hide, right? You'd like to talk to the FBI for a few days about your friends and relatives, and search your house from crawl space to attic? If you object then you certainly are hiding something reallly big, right?

Strangely, I'm betting you're the kind of person who objects to people knowing your Social Security number.
