2) Priests live (or should live) in community with other men. Such a situation would constitute an occasion of grave sin for those afflicted with the intrinsic disorder of homosexual attraction.

True, but the Church (and until recently, society at large) recognizes homosexuality as a sexual perversion, not just a mere choice of which orifice you choose to violate. Hence, a homosexual is a pervert who has no place in the priesthood, regardless of whether he buggers adolescent boys.

Besides, many if not most homosexuals have a thing for adolescent and teenage boys. The molestation cases do not usually involve preschoolers or first graders.

OH Yeah: Well I'm not Catholic, but they claim to worship the same God, and use the same book as me so I'm sure that It does matter both to them and me: Romans 1:26-27 God gave them over to -shameful lusts-... The Bible clearly teaches that gay is a sin, and therefore its insane to allow a homosexual to become ordained, they are not saved unless they have repented of their sins no matter how much "work" they do for the church (of course a non-repentant hetero refusing to surrendering to Christ wouldn't be either). Which means surrendering to Christ as Lord and savior to be saved (John 14:6) and I do believe that someone who has been saved can struggle with that sin though, but the difference between them and a non-repentent gay is that they reject their sin, and the gay does not, but the good news is that everyone could be saved if they choose to allow God to!

But you must remember that a Priest is called "Father" for a reason. He is supposed to be a father to his flock. I would question the ability of someone who is homosexual adequately act this role. It seems to me that an inclination towards procreation is a necessary condition of fatherhood.
