NEW ORLEANS: THE CITY THAT "FAIR" FORGOT -- Mainstream Media Got It All Wrong Again!
ICONOCLAST ^

Like I've said in this forum before about other subjects, I'm not an expert at much of anything -- just a regular guy who calls 'em like he sees 'em. And the way I see it (the way a lot of others seem to be seeing it, too), the federal response to Katrina has left a lot to be desired, especially in the early stages. But to be clear before I get started: I'm not arguing that point, nor would anyone who's attempting to be even remotely objective.

However, there's something else I see, too: That it seems like all the mainstream media are looking to blame the current presidential administration for every aspect of this catastrophe, from insufficient preparedness, to slow and inadequate relief, to the lack of law and order -- even the hurricane itself. Yes, some pundits (including lawyer/enviro-activist Bobby Kennedy Jr.) are actually pointing to the White House as the REASON for the disaster, citing global warming "caused" by the United States not signing onto the corrupt Kyoto Protocol being the genesis of Katrina…

Right on target. And this commentary only skims the surface of all the media distortions in its reporting of the Katrina disaster.

Shame on them!

I think the moderators job it to determine multiple threads not all these cyber-cops posting to threads.

and your job is to cyber-cop the cyber-cops? I tried to address the moderator and the address failed. I thought the author would like to know. There was no criticzm in the post. Did somebody steal your bubblegum or do you act like this all the time?

Actually, I appreciate knowing that there is another thread or a similar thread. Usually when there is two or more, one is hot with activity and the other is not. But reporting there is another thread without a link is kinda useless.

New Orleans has the distinction of a mayor who's demonstrably an idiot; a chief of police who cannot speak English and is clearly Barney Fife's long lost brother; and a police department that deserted and joined looters during an emergency. Yup, just the city I want to live in. It was a cesspool before the hurricane.

New Orleans has a Democrat Mayor, a Democrat City Council, and a Democrat
Chief of Police. Louisiana has a Democrat Governor, a Democrat Lt. Governor,
a Democrat Attorney General; 24 of 39 Louisiana State Senators are Democrat,
67 of 105 Louisiana State House Representatives are Democrat, there's a
Democrat Representative in the House from New Orleans, and one of two
Senators in the Senate is a Democrat.

SO ANY FOOL CAN SEE WHY ITS ALL BUSH"S FAULT

Well the search function does work. When I posted both were adjacent threads so it was not really tough to find the other thread....In this case the moderators removed the wrong thread..both were empty and apparently they removed the empty one and left only my message to the author...which apparently offended ed. If the moderator had removed the duplicate I had identified all would have been well. Excuse me all to pieces.
