A little sarcasm...IT'S ALL BUSH'S FAULT!!!!!
I also heard Richard whatshis name of Virgin airlines wants to build a refinary to offset the high price of jet fuel.
I say , power to him.
Maybe buying those SUV's "for safety" wasn't such a good idea.
The two most inefficient means of heating......
I believe you are following a prudent course. Do you feel heating blankets are advised for sleeping in terms of keeping the bedroom heat down? What about a heat generating lamps in place of a conventional light bulb in the bathrooms?
Natural Gas (NG, NYMEX) Monthly Price Chart
Heating Oil (HO, NYMEX) Monthly Price Chart
With the current prices of natural gas being at near record levels during a very rough winter we may be looking a absolute record breaking levels if there are further disruptions of energy from the Persian Gulf this winter due to Iran (nukes).

Crude for October delivery climbed 7.1 percent to $67.45 a barrel in New York. Gasoline futures advanced 14 percent to $2.035 a gallon. Oil is up 48 percent from a year ago, while gas has surged 60 percent.
In plain English crude oil earned $4.339.00 per futures contract in just one trading session! Options slightly less based on strike price.
The Reuters/Jefferies CRB Index of 19 commodities surged 3.8 percent, the biggest increase since at least 1956.
Rita, which may disrupt natural-gas production this weekend in Texas, approaches three weeks after Hurricane Katrina swept through the Gulf Coast, damaging refineries, drilling rigs and pipelines. The region produces a third of the nation's oil and a fifth of its natural gas.
Very good ideas. Also more heavier sweaters & cashmere overcoats worn during the winter months too - sounds good to me :)
