Maybe the falling ratings partly stem from CONSERVATIVE discontent with a plan to spend $200 billion (that's approximately $200,000 for every resident of metropolitan New Orleans) on "reconstruction" efforts which will be directed by the same corrupt Louisiana politicians that have run the state into the ground for the past 30 years.
Heck, if the government wants to write me a check for $200,000, I'll move anywhere in the country and you won't hear a complaint from me.

It is kinda funny that the person who cares the very least about this may just be George W. Bush.

The telephone survey of 1,000 Adults was conducted by Rasmussen Reports September 16-17, 2005. The margin of sampling error for the survey is +/- 3 percentage points with a 95% level of confidence. 37% of survey respondents were Republican, 37% Democrat, and 26% unaffiliated (see Methodology) I see leftists are answering the phone and saying they are "republicans" again. I've never understood this, and perhaps someone can explain: How is it that they manage to contact the exact number of dems/Repubs out of 1000 adults? Do they take a sampling of say, 1500 and trim down the 500 that claimed to be Dem non-supportive (duh) or Repub-supportive (duh)?

Gee, I wonder why???? No kidding...it's almost like we're getting punished because we didn't hop on the Blame Bush bandwagon. Hell, those who did are getting handouts left & right.

George, quit trying to woo over the democrats it wont work! No kidding. If anything, GWB should heed this part of the article: The President's reconstruction plan is favored by 66% of liberal voters. Still, only 10% of liberals give the President a good or an excellent rating...

Bingo. And it drives the Moonbats crazy.
No one has driven the Moonbats as crazy as Bush 43...not Reagan, not Nixon. They hate him so much they are beside themselves.....It is soooo fun to watch!!!!

I thought Bush would have bounced back after his well crafted speech. Apparently not. Maybe it'll take a few more days.

I'm getting pretty tired of hearing about all this Katrina stuff. The nation has been more than charitable, and yet they keep demanding more. The nation is being used as a slave force.
Are the displaced people seeking employment? How many have freely volunteered to go back to help with the mud clean up in NO? Did they use their $2,000 wisely, like use it to find a room, or a bus ticket to an area where they could find work? What are the refugees doing to help themselves and others? Is anyone doing anything, or are the charities and government workers stuck doing it all while the NO people just sit back , get waited on like royalty, and watch?
I think the American people have been very kind, but there's got to be a limit on how much everyone else has to be responsible for. In Florida, Florida does the work. After 9/11, NY did the work. Why then, in Louisiana, can't the state handle this now, so the country can get back to other issues?

>>>>After 9/11, NY did the work. Why then, in Louisiana, can't the state handle this now, so the country can get back to other issues?A big part of the reason is incompetence.
What I'd like to know is, what were all those cars and pickups doing on the streets of NO? I thought nobody had vehicles to leave.
