ok, Nobody else tried for 700 :(. LOL! :)
I'm redoing everything. My house has become such a disorganized mess during the summer. I eventually, will look for part time work and I want my house to be organized.

It always becomes disorganized in the summer when there are kids around. Just so much to do with them besides housework.
What kind of work are you wanting to do?

I'm glad for ya that it is a slow Monday--gives you a chance to ease back into the work week!
We were slow today which is okey except it makes the time drag in the early afternoon. They were going to let me go early, but I decided to stay....dumb, right? But, I left early on Saturday and if I keep that up, I'm not gonna have much of a check! How can I eBay? :o)
(((hugs)))

Well ya'll, I finally got my act together today and did my normal September 11th thing (yes - on September 19th, but, better late than never.) I just wanted to share some pictures with ya'll!! This morning/afternoon the kids and I baked some cookies (recipe to follow) and made thank you cards and the kids drew some pictures. Then we headed out for deliveries. Our first stop was the National Guard recruiting office. As you can plainly see, Shorty loves soldiers! (BTW - she asked me later if one of those soldiers was Old Sarge! LOL!) These guys loaded the kids up with very cool ARNG notebooks and pens and pencils!! AWESOME!! Our second stop was the Air Force recruiters office near our house. The Sgt. on duty was really nice! He gave the kids some Air Force pins and foam baseball toys -- very cool. There was a young lady in the office and I asked her if she was signing up. She told me that her husband might be. I gave her a Proud Patriots business card and told her that if he decided to join we would love to support him with care packages! I let her know I thought his considering joining up was very cool indeed!! After the recruiters offices, we headed for a couple of fire stations and our police station. At one of the fire stations we even got a tour of the trucks -- and the truck on the left is brand new -- they're hoping to get to drive it tomorrow. Fluffy noticed that there wasn't a license plate on the new truck though and we thought that would be pretty funny if a fire truck got pulled over by a police car for having no license plate! LOL!! Hope you enjoyed my little AAR!! I encourage all of you to stop by your local recruiters offices, fire stations and police stations and just say thanks!! These folks really appreciate knowing that they are appreciated! Stuffed Devils Food Cookies 1 Devils food cake mix 1/3 c. oil 2 eggs 1 can vanilla icing
Mix all. Form cookie dough into 1 inch balls. Flatten slightly. They won't spread out much so you can put them fairly close together. Bake at 350 degrees for 7 minutes. Cool on pan for a couple minutes then remove to cooling rack. Put icing between two cookies to form a sandwich cookie. YUM YUM!! Easy and delicious!! And quick to make for taking to the heroes! |
