I'm so glad that Daddy Bush and President Bush have been so nice to clinton. It really has paid off, big time.

Just like being so nice to Teddy Kennedy paid off. Democrats are always so grateful when you are nice to them.

My very thoughts.

And it should be a lesson to every GOPer with power, tempted at all to listen to the Dems begging, "Oh, just make this one little compromise, this one little gesture, and we'll play along! Just name a moderate, President Bush. Just do this, just do that."

Baloney.

One thing that ex-President Bush and Barbara hate more than anything is anyone savaging their son. This should end the relationship between the Clintons and the Bushes - I hope. It was an unholy alliance IMHO. Light and darkness have no business being yoked together, in the spiritual sense. I hope the Bushes have learned their lesson. It's just that they're just NICE and want to believe the best in people. They wouldn't have expected their 'adopted son' to turn on them, but that's his natural personality. The Clintons had them fooled them bigtime - which is really too bad.

Yeah. It's kind of like accepting a ride from Teddy, isn't it?

Democrats and Republicans remind me of the story of the fox and the scorpion. The fox gives the scorpion a ride across the river, but part way there the scorpion stings the fox. When the fox asks why, the scorpion replies that it's his nature.
