Why am I a Bush supporter? Thats easy. He was the best choice of candidates both times I voted for him

That describes why I voted for him, too. Mind you, I don't think he was that much better of a candidate, I just think both Gore and Kerry were THAT bad of candidates.

Would you still consider yourself a Bush supporter. Doesn't sound like you agree with him at all.

Nor do I any more. Bush has two chances left to impress me -- his second choice for the Supreme Court, and how he supports conservative candidates in 2006 and 2008. If he lets me down on those things, then I will feel that I was totally abadoned by the man, and sold a bill of goods when I voted for him.

But I still think he's an honorable man. Maybe playing politics just wasn't his game, and he got elected once on a fluke, and second because Kerry was really that bad.

I'm frustrated with Bush. There's a part of me that kind of wishes he would step down and hand the reigns over to Cheney for the next three years. I think Cheney has a better idea on how to fight to win, rather than fighting not to lose.

Compassionate Conservatism tends to do that to ya

BUMP

Bush is not a conservative. In the last ten years, that I can see, Zell Miller is more conservative than any pub now sitting.

My tagline says it all......

I too find Bush unimpressive. I voted for him twice, the first time eagerly the second time because I was scared of the alternative. He has cut taxes and possibly his court appointments will be good. However, his spending is out of control (big government) and it appears he thinks that our borders have nothing to do with our national security. He also did a horrible job at handling the aftermath of Katrina. I know most of the problems were due to the ineptitude of the local governments but a good leader when have known what was going on (just watch cable news) and could have applied the appropriate pressure to those officials. The press unfairly attacked Reagan but Bush leaves himself open as target unnecessarily. He is also a poor public speaker and is doing a horrible job of rallying the nation behind the troops that are fighting the war. I’m surprised at the number of people who support him on this site.

There are enough people attacking him. FR doesn't need to add to it.

Billy Jeff Clinton and his minions in the media were bad-mouthing President Bush after 9-11 if you recall...."If this happened on my watch, I would've done *this*". Blowhard had his 8-years of continued failures to show us his legacy (Don't ask don't tell, WTC'93, Waco, Ruby Ridge, OkC, Stained Dress, Vince Foster, Ron Brown, appeasement of Jihadis, nuke secrets for campaign cash, NEED I GO ON?).

Don't forget that he has to attack the President because of the utter failure of a woman democrat governor to lead in a major crisis. All the rats are trying to make people forget that it was a stupid dem woman who failed to do her job.

Roger that....

Clinton is your typical leftist bitcher.....
Always quick to point out problems, but incapable of rational solutions...

Their base doesn't want to take the steps to escape poverty or ignorance....

I think Jimmah Carter trampled on it first. Only ex-Republican Presidents honor the tradition.

Thanks for the excellent analysis of this situation. As usual, Bush and Rove are playing chess while the Dems, including the Hildebeast and her "spouse", are playing checkers. If Bush were to respond to the Impeached Rapist's criticism, the media would jump on him with both feet for being "mean-spirited".

Thank you. I agree with all you said.

Why should President Bush get into a cat fight with the losers? His job is to lead not follow these heel nippers into their gutter.

President Bush was elected twice something Clinton should admit and shut his slack mouth.

I notice Bill used Hillary's "I'm rich" line referring to the tax cut.

In addition like it or not Clinton is still a fan favorite with the very wealthy both here and abroad. These clowns will toss money at Bill Clinton when they would look the other way for a Bush (regardless of the cause). If anyone is using anyone else it is Bush using Clinton.

I wonder where the rest of the GOP is when Clinton rattles off assertions that are so easily disproved.
