ROFLMAO---
perfect time for a laugh!!! Thanks!
I'm in the Cypress area. Flooding will be a concern along the creeks, but there has been a lot of drainage work done out here over the past 3-4 years.
I moved from Conroe about 4 years ago. My folks still live there. Great town.
We used to live out on Longmire road.
It's changing a lot...
Thanks for the advice!
WG see #1192........ DG, did you lose power in Katy then?
In the event of water service failure, pool water or ditch water can be used to flush toilets.
WHOA---Chrissy has on Douglas Brinkley...
He is saying that Nagin is "dazed and confused...and thinking of business instead of people's lives..but there is no water, sewer, and there are gas leaks and sewage on the ground. Of course, NO ONE should come back right now"....
Chrissy's reply: Well I tend to think of the politicians as taking all things in consideration and so I felt Nagin knew what he was doing, but I see what you are saying (that was paraphrased, but obviously Chissy was VERY UPSET that Brinkley was so negative about Nagin)....LOL
Thanks for the ping. My elderly gran lives in Lake Jackson and we already have arrangements to evacuate her if need be. It's kind of hard imagining the storm surge reaching all the way to Angleton.
lol, I bet you are glad you chose this year to get FR more organized with hurricane info. ;-) I needed a break to catch up on reading. I have a feeling I will be drawn back in over the next few days.
Finally, some good useful info! lol
Should I use the upstairs toilet to have gravity on my side?
My tip: Pee outside and save water.
That is nice
I don't often agree with you Willie - but on this one - 100% with you :)
I grew up in the Champions area and I can confirm this. It was really miserable. We were without water and power.
Gunner are you in the flood prone area?
I'm so glad you aren't my neighbor! lol
thanks for the response Aggie Mama......
The YO in Kerrville, good suggestion.
Mark for later return - I've got 3 meetings to attend starting in 15 minutes - later FRiend :)
Willie I love you like a brother but you're weired! ;-) On the other hand I was born a Scotch drinking Presbyterian so it just comes naturally to me.
All jokes aside do not take this lightly. I've seen very bright newcomers to the area go into a storm unprepared.
