[But this begs the question: Why are so many here willing to hear this and run with it with no questions asked?]
Because of the irrational fear and hatred that the Left has for the Right that they've been saturating the media with for the last forty years.

This makes me white hot ANGRY! It is NOT right. It is slavery of a different kind.
What kind of people prey on generations of other people, who desperately need real help, by promoting what is basically paranoid mental illness?
What kind of people say "everyone is out to get you, everyone wants to kill you, you can't ever succeed no matter what" in an effort to retain power, but under the guise of "helping?"
What kind of people take pleasure in keeping others from making a better life because they are afraid they might no longer need them and therefore worship and protect suffering?
This is absolutely outrageous, but not because of the ludicrous charge the President tried to kill them. It is because Democrats have been systematically, corporately robbing them of what was left of their dignity, the very part of them that needed building up and in the process robbed them of their very humanity.
All I can say to the Dems and the MSM on thismay God have mercy on your soul.

I wonder what unreasonable black people are saying. That the National Guard was brought in with specific instructions to shoot and kill every black person they see, just as long as there are no TV cameras nearby.

Conspiracy theories sell when people are afraid.
In many cases that fear is reasonable, such as when there is a war or a depression or other disaster, but in this case the fear has been deliberately perpetuated by the Left for political gain.

For years they've swallowed the race-baiting propaganda fed to them by hustlers like the Rev-rund Jack-sonn. We shouldn't be surprised that they believe this latest urban myth.

Of ANY color, there are ALWAYS tons and loads of sober people in New Orleans, are there not?

As I compare and contrast this with the impromptu interview by an ABC reporter with Katrina refugees who refused to blame President Bush for anything and rightly placed blame on local officials in Louisiana, I highly doubt Robinson's report. You're right. Most Americans only experience with the black community is through the MSM. We know they lie about us - we know they lie about evangelical Christians, we know they lie for Democrats and cover for the likes of KKK Byrd. Why wouldn't they create a story (as in fiction) about how black people feel? You might be on to something important, rdb3.

"These are reasonable, sober people who really believe that." One can not be reasonable and believe that. If one believes as such they are, by definition, unreasonable.

Robinson said that while he doesn't believe the levee breaks were deliberately engineered, that fact that so many blacks do "tells you something about our racial divide in New Orleans."and
I once had an otherwise very bright African American student tell me that he firmly believed that the US Govt started AIDS to kill black folk.and
This sounds a bit like the old idea that crack was a CIA plot to wipe out the black community. What I find puzzling is why so many people are so willing to believe something that is so incredible.I have come to the conclusion that this portion of the black community has a high percentage of Arab genes, for they both live in a dream world and conjure up "proof" to sustain it.

Just part of the Dem's desperate "no holds barred" effort to cover-up the inner workings of the Democratic big city machines exposed by Katrina.

From the Dem plantation point of view, it is better that reasonable blacks believe whites bombed the levee than incredible stories that whites risked their lives to rescue blacks and helped them to resettle. That last bit is really threatening.

Why wouldn't they create a story (as in fiction) about how black people feel? Welcome to the echo chamber portion of the Marxist Laboratory.
I'm just trying to get as many as I can through the looking glass, where everything is the inverse of itself.

Just as a reminder about what the conscience of the Democrats in the Senate thinks about race. And the MSM saw fit to excuse this blatant racism that is truly in the heart of Senator Byrd (D)
WARNING this is an exact quote using vulgar and racist language WARNING
"There are white niggers. I've seen a lot of white niggers in my time; I'm going to use that word." - Senator Robert Byrd during a discussion about race relations on Fox News Sunday with Tony Snow March 5, 2001

I've been around long enough to recognize the real racists in this country when I see them.

Well, the Corp of Engineers need to educate the public on how levee system work and if they are not maintained they deteriorate and when you combine ground water underneath with water pushing surge you create what they call sand boils. These sand boils effectively erode the levee from the underside, not the top. It's more complicated than that so maybe someone else could give us the technical aspects of this.
Levees can be purposely broken, but in this case I think the press would have caught it on tape and if the levee system were computerized they would have known of any tampering along the system.
I know in our area with the first signs of a flood, our levee systems are monitored and the local and State police and if necessary the National Guard is called out to guard the levee from any kind of man-made acts of terror against the levee system. But then again, we have a responsible government local and state wise, but our community is proactive when such events are possible.

When I first moved to E. TX I was surprised at how many people used the dreaded N word (and not in a hip hop way) in public. It was foreign to me to hear it said out loud like that. Did you ever wonder how it is that it became the 'dreaded N' word? Who made it the word that can't be spoken and why? Everybody once used the N word because it was the only word that described people of a certain characteristic in a way that was easily identifiable by all. Ask anyone who lived in the pre-50s era to see what other word was used. So how did that then make the transition from acceptable to being unacceptable? I've read the story before as there have been a few threads on this subject here on FR. Of course there have been intermediate steps too - blacks, coloured people ..... and now to the totally ridiculous African American. Frankly, I don't see anything wrong with the N word - don't use it myself because I don't like people looking at me funny but at the end of the day, it's just a word. Rest assured, we will likely live to see the day when the next faux pas will be to use the African American word - referred to as the 'dreaded AA' word and of course it will be replaced by something else and all previously used words will be held in disdain. It's actions and attitudes that count, not some flippant and changing definition that we stick on a word.
As for the other point about where attitudes akin to racism do exists, I think the biggest offender is actually liberalism where the word tolerance (for them) has taken on the meaning of acceptance. Thus the only thing these 'tolerant' people are intolerant about is those that carry principles that won't tolerate certain things. For example, I'm labeled an intolerant individual because of my belief in one God, one truth, one salvation, an inerrant scripture, hell for the unbelievers, truth not being relative, homosexuality is a sin etc. Attitudes against me aren't racism (because there is no race involved) but it has the same tone to it. And Christians across America had better get used to it because it is breathing down our necks daily.

but our community is proactive when such events are possible
we would be asking to much for those to be proactive. it would start with leadership, something new orleans has lacked for about 25 plus years.
the Corp could have all the video of every square inch of breached section of the wall(s) proving no one tampered with it, we would still have that same number of people believe the goverment did do it.
If, as someone said, a loose barge hit it (not to get into pressure or sand boils after impact) they would think W intentionally sent the barge(s) to do so.
I did read, cannot remember where, a witness did see a barge hit the side of the levee. Another person said it sounded like an "explosion". A lot of people have run with the explosion theroy. Louis Farakan said brought it up in a few centers he visited and some Air America nitwits echoed it.
So no matter what, you will not be able to change a mind set of someone who does not have a mind of their own.
