I still can't quite understand Hitch's obsession with Henry Kissinger.

Galloway is an unrepentant Stalinist who supports Islamofascists. The same ones that were inspired by Saddam Hussein's uncle and his Baath henchmen via the sponsorship of the Third Reich in WWII. Thus, in Galloway you have the lodestone between Nazi and Communist, which only broke apart after Hitler invaded Russia. Other than that, their politics are well suited to terror.
I only wonder how many on the left realize who and what they are in bed with?

"What I should have done, I now realise, is to say that George Galloway knows all about slime because he's so far inside the posterior passage of a murderous dictator that one can barely glimpse his Gucci buckles. That would have won me golden opinions. I suppose it would also have re-defined the old term "slug-fest"."
lol.
Hitchens should have pressed Galloway on his friendship with Tarik Aziz. How can Galloway speak with disdain about Saddam and then buddy up to Aziz? Oh, I forgot. He's a lying hypocrite.

"Mr A challenges Mr B, saying that he appears on the available evidence to be a handmaiden to dictators and a recipient of their hospitality. Mr B replies that Mr A is a piece of ordure, or some other unmentionable substance. The riposte is hailed as a tremendous piece of repartee, as well as a full and complete answer to the challenge. Translation:
Hitchens: "Galloway, you're Bashar al-Assad's paid whore."
Galloway: "Hitchens, you're a piece of crap."
Collectively the MSM coos and twitters and their hearts flutter at how brilliantly and completely Galloway has trounced Hitchens.

Galloway's vapidity was perfectly displayed when Hitchens pointed out that Galloway stood by the side of Syria's President and praised the 154 acts of resistance against U.S. forces, one of which resulted in the death of Casey Sheehan, and then stood side by side with Casey's mother to denounce President Bush.
Galloway's only response was to smugly correct Hitchens's arithmetic. It was 145 acts not 154.
What a piece of crap.

Curious how long the left will use Mr. G as their "courageous and brave" representative? His demeanor reminds me of former leaders of ill and tragic consequences. His replies to Mr. H were poor and illogical but that never stopped those types of governmental leaders before. It is frightening that there are Brits out there who voted for someone that unscrupulous and hate filled to represent them in the hallowed halls of the British Parliament.

Poor Hitchens. He's made the common human mistake of trying to reason with something that is obviously and demonstrably evil. Galloway is simply an evil man who delights in death and does everything he can to promote it.
This is the same mistake that Chamberlain made with Hitler. Or that the members of the Film Actors Guild make with Kim Jong-il.These people simply can't really face up to that fact the some people are evil.
Evil people need to be restrained (at the minimum) not debated. The MSM's support of the messages of evil from those like Galloway tells you all you need to know about them too.

There was a great first hand report in the NY SUN of a recent debate between Hitchens and Galloway at Baruch College Performing Arts Center in NY. Here's the link:

Thought for the day:
Hitchens is our era's George Orwell.
He's too good of a journalist not to let go of the truth, no matter where it takes him.
