I usually enjoy the Sunday Morning Talk Show thread, but you all have hijacked it in a free-for-all that COULD be carried on via Freepmail. Thanks a lot!
I must say I only entered at the very end after the argument was already in progress, but that is no excuse.
Your point is well-taken, and in the future I will be more considerate.
LOL---you have just about named every single person that has been ON the thread today!!
We have all, also posted about various other topics...but, I have a question for you...
If you wanted something else discussed, why didn't you post YOUR thoughts...I am sure some of us would have LOVED to talk about other subjects...
but, like we have been saying..if you want gripe, participate and change things instead!!!
Please, feel free to post...
thanks for your thoughts.
First of all, rodguy....I do believe that Miami is gonna lose today....sorry.
but, I just wanted to point out this post by greyfoxx39--so timely...and seemingly just what the doctor ordered!!!
nobody stopped you from posting, and we have not hijacked anything. Read Jim Robinson credo. There is nothing to complain about here, Buck up and post something besides complaining. We tried to explain to someone the facts and they don't get it, and never will.
Actually, grey, the pickings on the Sunday shows were pretty sparse today. They lost on the Roberts nomination, they lost on making Bush look uncaring about the hurricane, they just didn't have much to run with today and there wasn't much to report. So there was an internal converation going on which I found quite interesting. I am sorry that you did not.
My FRiend, honest and open debate is what FreeRepublic is all about. Come on, didn't you find the debate stimulating? It was the Bush cheerleaders vs the Truth. And as usual, the truth won.
For the record, I took a critical viewpoint on Bush`s spending proposals for reconstruction in the gulf coast region and was condemned for not agreeing with at least a dozen Bush cheerleaders. It was like the blind leading the blind. LOL In all honesty, I enjoyed the challenge. And they didn't lay a glove on me.
So, if you have a serious problem with anyone, please direct your frustration at those FReepers who find it necessary to give a pass to this President after he announced to the world that cost isn't an issue. While big government Republicanism is alive and well in WashDC thanks to PresBush and the GOP Congress, there are many voices being raised that are questioning the potential costs of this operation. Mike Pence, Tom Tancredo, Lindsey Graham and Ron Paul have all spoken out against throwing money at the reconstruction project along the gulf coast. Conservative pundits like Brit Hume and Bill Kristol have echoed the same rhetoric.
