I like Scott McClellan, but I agree with you. I'd prefer someone to be more forceful in these press meetings, and someone who would nail these jerks because of their biases. Won't happen, but I can wish.

Wouldn't you just love to see someone say "Helen, you idiot..."

LOL---I doubt it...

BTW, I wouldn't be a bit surprised to see Oklahoma beat Texas by 30 in the Red River Shootout at the Cotton Bowl in a few weeks...

Texas just cannot seem to beat OK...

Sorry about your toe----and your step-daughter's house.

The reason that I have been on the thread all afternoon is because I hurt my back on Friday...and sitting is about the only thing I can do....LOL

On borders.

I doubt few understand the entire problem or situation. I put that on the administration. Nobody in America can understand everything involved. All we can do is demand the outcome, which is to stop illegal aliens from entering the country. How to accomplish that is up to the government.

Other problems are there, of course. Medical benefits etc. I also would like to see the congress address the real problem of what it means to be an American, and fix the laws that allow virtually anyone getting here to be one. I don't hate kids, but we really need something defining citizenship for kids born in America other than just an automatic decree of citizenship.

As far as the border issue...I sometimes wonder if there is something going on there I am not seeing.

That is what I wonder about as well. I feel like there is a big empty hole in the information, things that are not being said. So I just keep listening.

It's in the stars. It has been determined that Texas is not allowed to beat Oklahoma in a game of sports. Besides, the best Texas players play for Oklahoma anyway.

Rats. I should have seperated them better. Caught. I'm just happy you didn't try to destroy my affection for the great Texas players I've respected and supported over the years. Anything I may say comes from envy since I was born and raised in Oklahoma.

If there was ever a year for Texas to wallop Oklahoma it would be this year...with OK already having two losses...

and TExas ranked 2nd...BUT, a lot of us in Texas think that Mac Brown is spooked by Stoops or something...because something BAD always happens in that game...and it is usually the game plan!! LOL

The last I heard Rush comment about Russert it was knocking him. Rush was not on with Russert last year, and I would think it to be a safe bet he won't this year either.

My love for OK football had to take a second look when a relative complained about that girl raping those OU football players. Huh? A girl weighing under 150 raped five or six players? Okay... I may be dense but I'm not completely zoned out. I support OU football, but I do not support rape or illegal activities by their department.

Isn't it interesting how the very people in the "conservative" movement" who claim to love and revere Ronald Reagan are the 1st to jettison his 11th Commandment?

"Thou shall speak no ill of fellow Republicans"

Reagan understood that when we spend all our time bashing our own side, we only help the enemy PR campaign. Too bad so many of his suppose intellectual godchildern are so quick to forget Reagan's wisdom.

Not from looking at Clintons behavior it hasn't.

Isn't it funny how all the Lefty bloggers are in full scale mental meltdown cause Clinton is "giving Bush political cover" Ever bother to stop and think the reason Bush keeps Clinton busy in these make work PR Campaigns is to keep him away from doing useful work for the Dems? That this all a PR gesture to being "bi-partisan" that actually puts Clinon to work on some good causes? This nonsense about "increasing Clinton stature" is just stupid. Billy, to our eternal shame, is an ex Pres. His stature does not grow or decrease when Bush asks him to head up one of these fund raising efforts.

Actually, grey, the pickings on the Sunday shows were pretty sparse today. They lost on the Roberts nomination, they lost on making Bush look uncaring about the hurricane, they just didn't have much to run with today and there wasn't much to report. So there was an internal converation going on which I found quite interesting. I am sorry that you did not.
