Protecting against fraud is not the same as expecting it.

You protect yourself against fraud because you know there is a possibility that fraud can occur. If a person enters into a marriage believing that there is a possibility it will not last they probably should not get married.

Thank you for rewording what I said.

If a person enters into a marriage believing that there is a possibility it will not last they probably should not get married.

All marriages end.

Some end in death. If someone remarries later in life, with assets that were accumulated by a couple, there is no logical reason not to have a prenuptial arrangement in case the first person dies or something else changes.

Many people are extremely adept at looking like something they are not. Many people.

BTW I strongly suspect this fort lauderdale woman does not exist.

Any competent lawyer can tell you that this "professional" woman's anticipated inheritance is NOT necessarily a marital asset to be subject to equitable distribution.

Sun Sentinal bovine excriment.

"61.075 Equitable distribution of marital assets and liabilities.--

(b) "Nonmarital assets and liabilities" include:...

2. Assets acquired separately by either party by noninterspousal gift, bequest, devise, or descent, and assets acquired in exchange for such assets;

...."

as I said, the Sun Sentinal a factual failure as always.
