Blue Dog Painting: 'We Will Rise Again'

Artist George Rodrigue's latest work still features the blue dog he's famous for, but this time, the little dog usually seen in a more festive atmosphere is just trying to keep his head above water - like New Orleans.

I like Rodrigue and his Blue Dog. I have a signed print that I love. I was wondering how he fared during the hurricane. Thanks for posting this.

I vaguely remember reading where he's moving to Lafayette, La.
Don't know if it's permanent or not.

He might have a gallery in N'Awlins, but Rodrigue has been in Lafayette for years. A place I used to work for embroidered the Blue Dog on caps and shirts for him over 10 years ago.

And the jugs could be barer.

And likely will be if they finish that beer.
