Bloomin idiot is not even a RINO, he's a Dem who switched parties just to escape a primary fight.
Well, I suppose I should clarify.
I'm not 100% sure if they see it as a wedge issue. I'm not a psychic or anything.
But that's the first thing that comes to mind given their omission of an easily had fact. I'm sure there could be other reasons which you could come up with as well
Perhaps they just want to feel like they have a republican on their side? It could be even more simple than that. It could be incredibly complex.
But I personally don't care why they omit facts. All I know is that it's absolutely excruciating and I'm gonna point it out so others can see it too.
Yes. Bloomberg is a Democrat who, I think, was born in Medford, Mass...right near Boston.

I have some friends in NYC who like Ognibene but I don't much about him. A guy called Scott Sala who has a blog www.slantpoint.com has talked about him.
I am furious with Bloomberg re:Roberts and bashing Bush. I think he's gotten cocky because so many Democrats in NYC are voting for him.

Yes - his coming out against Roberts so openly was the last straw. That gives Democratic Senators additional ammunition to vote against Roberts, and maybe even some RINO Republicans. The way the press played it up as "the first Republican to break ranks with Bush over Roberts" was just sickening.
As a matter of principle I can't vote for Bloomberg, even though the thought of Ferrer and his corrupt gang of crazies in City Hall scares me to death.
Isn't there another guy running - Tom Ognibene on the Conservative Party ticket ? I know some people who like him. I can't vote for either Bloomberg or Ferrer.
You hit the nail on the head. I have lived in NYC for 27 years and it is the most narrowminded, intolerant and parochial place I've ever lived in. Almost every day I have to hear disparaging comments from New Yorkers about how horrible places like Texas and Los Angeles are( many of the people making the comments have never been to these places)
The New York Times has been wrapped up its little cocoon on Manhattan for too long. They can't comprehend why anyone would think differently than they do.

I've decided to vote for Ognibene. Michael Long, the head of the Conservative Party, put out a wonderful letter supporting Bush after the Katrina hurricane.

It's surprising what good a little exposure to the rest of the country can do. Years ago a girl who spent her early life in Queens and was raised on Long Island came to one of the southern states to do her graduate work. After graduate school she stayed in the South and met a good old boy (me). Let me hasten to add that even though I am a card-carrying redneck, I also have a graduate degree.
She gradually learned that not all Southerners are like the cast of "Deliverance," and six months later we were married. She developed an affinity for most Southern food, especially catfish and hush puppies. Still haven't gotten her turned on to grits.
Even though she's justifiably proud of her New York heritage, any arrogance she might have had has long since disappeared after years of living in Southern and Western states. I highly recommend that other New Yorkers get beyond the steel and concrete canyons. There is a whole other country out there.
I take it you won't stay in New York when you retire.
No - I am going to get out of NYC before I retire.
I've had it ! I am actually considering the South. I love it there.

Another endorsement for Roberts. Who cares what that phoney Bloomburg thinks anyway?? This is the guy who refused to let the NRA have a convention in "his" city.
I hope that Democrat Ferrar cleans his clock. Bloomburg is no Republican - he's not even a RINO. He's an unabashed Democrat.

I just called Bloomberg Reelection headquarters and told them why I wouldn't be voting for him this year. The person I talked to sounded a little dismayed. But then again, maybe not. He has so many Dems voting for him this year.

I sent the Bloomberg campaign some comments via their webpage, telling them what I thought of his position and that I would not vote for him. The NY Sun has a really blistering editorial about him today.
I think the election is going to be a lot closer than people think. He won't get the support he needs from Republicans in Queeens and Staten Island. And most of the Dems I know here are Howard Dean/Cindy Sheehan supporters - they'll vote for Ferrer (in spite of the polls). Their main gripe against him is that he invited the Republican Convention to New York.
