"Do you live in the hurricane-affected area?"

Well, all my neighbors and relatives get worked up every year about it. But I'm hundreds of miles from sea [wish I were closer normally]. And it's only a tropical storm IF it even reaches here. Ophelia hit NC south of here and left. That's my non-drama.

Like you say, Thank God. The reason I live here is that my grandfather had concluded this was a great retirement area. He factored in natural disasters. So I guess I inherited his research.

Hey, you've got a right to get worked up too:) As I recall, more than half of the Camille deaths were from flooding in the Appalachians after Camille had been downgraded-it still carried a lot of rain,and dumped it in a more concentrated way because it had slowed way down,or something to that effect.
