Oddly enough,I found myself in "hot water" some years ago for rejecting the advances of two different women at work. I was single and a steady worker. Woman no 1 was in process of divorcing for the third time, had an unwed pregnant daughter at home,a son going to the military to avoid local lawmen, and her youngest met us at the curb carrying a full-size hunting knife. He was maybe 8?!I was taking her home from work because she had car trouble and chose to wait hours so that I would be the one to drive her all of maybe 5 miles. I declined her invitation to come inside and sped home. From then on she made sure to point out any failure of mine to higher supervision. Woman #2 was unhappily married to a businessman and had a biracial daughter with baby sans husband at home. She threw a crying fit when I used a newspaper rather than my hand to brush off the bee?wasp? that just happened to land on her inner thigh. Call me coward but at that time I wasn't interested in a job as baggage handler. But her crying convinced supervision I must have done "something".

Some days you can't win.

You are not the only one, mate. Some things it only takes the accusation to be made to ruin your name. Been there, had it done to Me, refuse to buy the t-shirt. Oddly enough, for the sex that is understood to be able to say 'no' they are strangely unable to accept when they are on the receiving end of it, no matter now innocuously put.

At this point I would have not offered to render any assistance. Let them self destruct on their own. Sorry, I regard women in the workplace to be adversarial, with very few exceptions. And that is very few. I document all contacts (if that means anything). I will not render any assistance regarding "personal problems".
This is after I was given some hydraulic data by one other engineer (a woman), and used the data to size some control valves. It turns out the hydraulic model was faulty. I was accused of deliberately selecting the wrong control valves, in spite of the documentation based on her process data and hydraulic model.
Unfortunately feminism has poisoned the business environment with having to watch out for the zampolits with an agenda.
